Facebook allows members to upload and share pictures with family members and friends in their social network. Members can also set uploaded pictures as their default profile pictures. The crop tool in Facebook is only enabled for profile pictures and allows a user to select a portion of a photo she wants to display in her profile page.

Log into your Facebook account.

Click the "Profile" link.

Click the "Photos" link under your profile picture.

Click the picture you want to open and make your profile picture.

Click "Make Profile Picture" from the lower left of the photo viewer. The crop tool appears.

Click and drag the corners of the crop box to select the area you want to keep for the picture. Click "Done Cropping." Anything outside the box is cropped from your picture.
