  1. 1

Talk to your wife and voice your concerns. If you continue to think of her as a lazy wife without telling her how you feel, you're sure to resent her quickly. Instead of calling her lazy, simply tell her you need certain things done around the house and that you're willing to help.

  2. 2

Help her around the house. If your wife sees you doing chores, it may give her incentive to chip in and stop being lazy. Many women resent having to do everything themselves. So bear part of the burden and show your wife that she's not alone.

  3. 3

Buy her appliances that make her life easier. Make it fun for her to do her chores by getting her something new. If you don't have a dishwasher, consider buying one. While the load of dishes is washing, she can be lazy because work is still getting done.

Tips and warnings

  • Don't compare her to your friends' wives in an effort to show her she's wrong. Not only will you have a lazy wife, you'll have an angry lazy wife.
