Summer is a great time for everybody who enjoys drinking ice cold beer. Weekends are brimming with this bubbly beverage and the rising heat is a great excuse to just keep on drinking.
The food expert Jackie Dodd created this beer and strawberry ice cream recipe, which are fun to make and eat at any party. However, you'll need to keep them well away from children, since they contain all the alcohol in the beer you'll put into them.
150 grams (1 cup) chopped strawberries
30 ml (2 tbsp) lemon juice
50 grams (1/4 cup) sugar
240 ml (1 and 1/2 cup) beer
Place the strawberries, lemon juice and sugar in a blender and blend until smooth. Add the beer and blend until it's thoroughly mixed. Pour the liquid into moulds and let them sit at room temperature until the foam subsides, which should be around 10 minutes. Freeze them for at least four hours, or until they are hard enough to eat on a stick.
