Mild Reactions

Some who have used he shou Wu reported mild gastrointestinal distress, including diarrhoea and nausea. Most of the reports of these side effects come from those who ingested the unprocessed herb.

Major Reactions

In rare cases, some people have reported liver-related side effects. A few people experienced hepatitis or jaundice after taking he shou Wu. Also, taking too much he shou Wu, there is a possibility of numbness in the hands and feet.
