Types of Wellness Canned Cat Food

Wellness is a brand of cat food that has none of the grains (corn, wheat) that are a base for most other cat food brands. Since cats are natural carnivores, they need lots of meat and fish, not corn and wheat. Wellness knows this and offers many varieties of canned food to make your cat healthier.

The Wellness line of canned cat food includes flavours such as Salmon and Trout, Turkey and Salmon, Sardine, Shrimp and Crab, Chicken, Turkey, Chicken and Herring, Chicken and Lobster, Beef and Salmon, Beef and Chicken, Core Chicken, Chicken Liver and Turkey, Core Salmon, Whitefish and Herring.

Grain Free

Many of Wellness' canned foods are grain free. This means they have no corn, wheat or other grains in them. Even their other non-grain free foods only have rice in them, which is fine for cats in small quantities. There is no corn or wheat in any of Wellness' canned food.

These canned foods are available in 85.1gr, 156gr and 3544gr cans, except for the Core foods, which are only available in 1559gr cans, and the Kitten food, which is only available in 85.1gr cans.

Where to Buy

Wellness canned food is available online at the Wellness website (see Resources), in Petco stores and speciality pet stores.

Wellness is a bit more expensive than other brands of canned cat food. The 85.1gr cans cost about $1 per can; the 1559gr cans are about $1.25 and up per can; and the 3544gr cans are around $2.35 per can.
