The Behringer MX8000 is a discontinued mixing board made by Behringer. It features 48 channels, a parametric and sweepable equaliser, six assignable auxiliary sends and high quality sealed rotary pots. The MX8000 is ideal for recording a large number of inputs at once, such as drums or live ensembles. The MX8000 is also built with phantom power for powering condenser microphones.

The Behringer MX8000 features 48 input channels with up to six auxiliary sends that are assignable to pre and post fader. There are six stereo auxiliary returns that have multiple routing options. The MX8000 offers two separate headphone mixes and can add +15 decibels to all auxiliary sends and returns. It is also possible to group tracks into eight subgroups.

Power and Sound

The Behringer MX8000 is powered by a 400 watt external 19-inch power supply that is connected to the back of the console. An expander port provides universal 1/4-inch link facilities to any other console. The max output is +28 decibels above unity gain with the balanced XLR jacks, and +22 decibels above unity gain on the unbalanced quarter-inch jacks. The Aux return gain range is zero decibels to +20 decibels above unity gain. The max mic input is +12 decibels above unity gain, and the max line input is +22 decibels above unity gain.

Extras

Each channel on the MX800 has equalisation knobs that have a high shelving of 12KHz, high mid sweep ranging from 300 Hz to 20 kHz, low mid sweep ranging from 50 Hz to 3 kHz and low shelving at 80 Hz. Each setting can go 15 decibels above or below unity gain. The MX8000 also has an overall frequency response ranging from 10HZ to 120KHz.
