Adobe Fireworks CS3 is a valuable tool for creating and optimising graphics to be used for the web. Creators tend to produce web graphics with the RGB colour profile, suited for display on computer monitors that create colour with red, green and blue pixels (RGB).
However, print graphics are created in the CMYK colour space, using cyan, magenta, yellow and black (K). Adobe Fireworks CS3 handles any colour profile, and will convert any graphic to RGB in a snap. Any user who has created and saved an image in Fireworks CS3 shouldn't have a problem with this process.
Locate the CMYK graphic on your computer and open it by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Open."
Save the file in the Fireworks native format of PNG to create an RGB profile image for display on the web. Go to the "File" menu and select "Save." Name the file, and make sure that the drop-down menu next to the word "Format" displays "Fireworks (.png)."
