How to Turn Subtitles off on a Sanyo Television

Updated April 17, 2017

Close captioning, or subtitles, allow television users who cannot hear to enjoy television programs along with everyone else. The television program's dialogue appears in text format on the television screen, allowing the user to read along with the action. If you wish to remove the closed captioning on your Sanyo television, you can do so easily with the help of your television remote.

  2. Press the "Caption" button near the top of the remote.

  3. Keep pressing the caption button until the message "Caption Off" appears on your television screen. The closed captioning is now off.
