How to Fly to Hawaii From the UK

No direct flights are available between the United Kingdom and Hawaii, so U.K. travellers wishing to explore the natural wonders, culture and beaches of Hawaii must travel through another country. Connecting flights between the United Kingdom and Hawaii are available from cities in North America and Asia.

Fly from the United Kingdom to Hawaii via New York. A number of airlines fly between cities in the United Kingdom and airports in the New York City area, including Newark Liberty International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport. As of January 2011, the only direct flights between New York and Hawaii are operated by Continental Airlines from Newark International Airport. Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Continental provide direct flights between Newark and London's Heathrow Airport, allowing for convenient connections without changing airports.

Fly to Hawaii via Vancouver, British Columbia. Air Canada and WestJet provide direct flights from the Canadian city of Vancouver to Hawaii. WestJet flies from Vancouver to airports in Honolulu, Kahului, Kona and Lihue. Travellers flying on Air Canada can fly from Heathrow Airport via Vancouver to Honolulu, Maui and Kona.
