Roasting turkey legs is an ideal way to have a turkey dinner any time of the year you'd like without investing in a complete bird. If you don't want or need to cook an entire turkey for Christmas lunch, this is an excellent easy alternative as well.
Rinse the turkey legs in cool tap water, removing any stray feathers or excess fat. Pat dry with a paper towel.
Rub the turkey legs with butter and salt or other seasonings of your choice.
Place in an oven baking pan, and bake at 180 degrees C (350F) for around two hours. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature -- when it measures 82.2 degrees C (180F) your turkey legs are done.
