Siemens Gigaset Problems

The Siemens Gigaset telephone handset places and answers calls cordlessly. Once you set up and start to use the Gigaset, you might experience problems with power loss. Ensure the phone operates correctly so you don't miss a call.

A powerless handset might be the result of improperly inserted batteries. Remove the back cover of the phone, and remove the batteries. Insert two AA batteries into the chamber in accordance with the polar indicators printed on the inside of the chamber.


If the base station lights do not illuminate, reset the connection. Unplug the power cord from the back of the base station, wait a few seconds and plug it back in firmly. Inspect the cord for damage, unplug the pronged end of the power cord from the power outlet and plug it back in.

Dial Tone

Push the tab of the line cord connection to the base station. Pull the telephone line cord from the phone jack, and push it back in until it snaps into place. Inspect the cord for damage. Unplug the telephone line from the wall line jack, and plug it back in until the connection is snug.
