I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, here to show you how to repair a leaky shower faucet problem. Now, when repairing a leaky shower faucet. Most common, people think when a shower head leaks, that it's the shower head itself that is the problem, and it's not. Your problem is in the valve itself, you have a cartridge or a stem. This particular one's a single control, we'll show you how to take apart, here. First thing here, is remove your handle. This one has a nice, little sleeve that needs to be pulled off, called in as kitchen. And, there's some kind of a keeper, this one has a U-shaped clip. Some of them will have a small nut that screws on. Once you remove that, you can remove that cartridge, take it down, match it up. I can say, this is what actually leaks, when it drips out of your shower head. The water runs out the backside of your wall, leaks out of the shower head. This is what needs to be replaced. Once you get your new one, and slide it back in, and just work it in reverse. And again, I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, we've showed you how to repair a leaky shower faucet .
