Baby shower favors should follow the theme of the shower, which can include a donation to a children's charity, small boutique soaps or homemade sweet treats. Offer party favors to baby shower attendees with information from the editor of Mom's Favorite Stuff in this free video on baby gifts.
Hi, I'm Jodi Grundig from momsfavoritestuff.com, and today I'd like to talk about baby shower favors. When planning baby shower favors, you want to think about the theme of the baby shower and what sort of memento you want to send the attendees home with. And so, what I recommend that you do is think about the couple at the showers for as well as the shower theme and the overall feel of the shower and then, come up with some ideas from there. One of the things I recommend is to really think about what type of thing, you know, you really want to send your, your guests home with. And so, I actually really like the idea of donation that can be to either a children's charity or perhaps a local charity. If you really want to send your guests home with like a nice thought and, and if you wanted to, if you want to send them home with something, you could actually like print up a little scroll or something to send them home with saying that their money is going toward this donation. But, if you want to give something tangible, then, think about something that'll actually be really useful to the person whose taking at home. And so, one thing that I like, that I've got and it's a gift is this bath balls and you can actually take them and you know, they, they throw right in the bath and they're useful, they smell really nice. You can kind of wrap them up if you want in a fabric; you could put a ribbon around them and you can even maybe print out a piece of paper that states the date of the shower and attach it. And so, these, you know, you can buy these just about anywhere, at any mall; you can buy them at Big Bucks Stores and you can buy them in the color of the theme. You can buy them in like, you know, yellow colors and, and light baby colors or you can buy them bright colors; just anything that sort of reminds your guests about the event and something that they can use. Another idea is just to kind of go in, in the child's size section of your local store and any sort of related sale child size products and buy some, some things that are really useful. And so, what I have here is like a little, a little spray and this is actually little lotion and what you can do is print out little labels and just replace the labels on these stating the name of the shower. You can put little graphics on it if it's you know, if there's a specific theme like a duck or, or Noah's ark is another theme and you can just kind of you know, go to an office supplies store, buy some labels, print them up, throw them on, on these and make a really nice useful gifts. Another suggestion is something that you're guests can actually take home and eat. And so, if you're at all able to make chocolate, which is actually really simple, you can purchase these molds and some chocolate and honestly, you can learn in probably an hour how to make them. But, I really like the idea of these little chocolate cups which you can fill with stuff and throw in a little bag or just a little simple candy. And, if you can't make your own, you could certainly go out and buy something similar and, and give somebody a nice memento of the event; but, also something that they'll be able to take home and eat. So, I think I've given you some suggestions from donations to bath products, child size products that can be labeled with custom labels and candy that can be given to be eaten, all of things that can be really useful and really memorable baby shower favors.
