Hi, my name is Kyle Polak a soccer coach from Wilmington, North Carolina. Today, I'm going to demonstrate how to wear shin guards. For this clip, you'll need soccer cleats, shin guards and soccer socks. So, the most important why you wear shin guards is because soccer is a very contact sport and you get kicked a lot in the shins from the play of the game. So, the perfect way of how to put a shin guard on, is you want to wear it between your ankle and your knee, not too low on your ankles or too high on your knees. So, you want to wear it just in the middle between your ankles and your knees. So, I'm going to show you hot o put one on real quick and the reason why I wear two socks is for comfort mostly because you don't want the shin guards just rubbing on your skin raw. So, I like to have it through another sock. So, you put it on just like that and pull your sock up so the shin guard isn't showing. You don't want to wear it on the outside of your sock like this, you want to wear it on the inside just like this. You put it in, you want to wear it between your ankles and your knees. It's very important that you have the right size shin guards. You don't want it too big or too small. So, you want to wear it in the middle of your ankles so right about there for Chris. So, it's not too low and it's not too high for him. So, that is a perfect way of how to wear a shin guard.
