Hi, I'm Sue Walker and I'm going to show you how to freeze apple pie. The things you will need are your apple pie, some plastic wrap, a freezer and some large Ziploc bags. Apple pies can be baked and frozen with very good results. You just have to follow a few steps. Remove the baked pie from the oven and let cool completely. Never place a hot pie in the freezer because it will cause freezer burn. When cool, place the pie in the freezer unwrapped for about three to four hours. When frozen take the pie out and wrap in the plastic wrap. Then place it in a large Ziploc freezer bag. Squeeze out any excess air and close. Place in the freezer. You can freeze apple pies for up to six months. When you want to serve it, take out of the freezer and thaw. You can heat it up in the oven for about fifteen minutes if you wish. And that is how to freeze apple pies.
