Planting hibiscus seeds can be done easily, but they do take a few years to really get lots of bloom on them. Grow beautiful hibiscus plants in your garden with help from a third-generation flower grower in this free video on gardening.
Hi this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we're going to talk about how to plant hibiscus seeds. Now the materials that you will need are hibiscus seeds, a plastic bag, a napkin and a container with soil, good potting soil. The first step, take your hibiscus seeds and put them in a napkin and add water and put it in a plastic bag. Next step, check on the bag until the seeds have started to sprout, and grow just a little bit. Next step, once they've started to grow or even you don't have to use the bag you can put them right into a container directly, plant the seeds into a container about a half an inch deep. Sometimes I just poke the seeds right into the soil. So next step, put it into the sunniest, hottest spot you can find in your garden or in your entryway and they will sprout and grow and eventually, it takes a few years to really get going and get lots of blooms on them, but you'll have your own beautiful hibiscus plant.
