Tissue paper is a great gift wrapping tool, just be careful because it will rip easily. Use tissue paper to wrap your gift with help from a gift basket shop owner in this free video on gift wrapping.
Hi, I'm Cari Thomas, and this is my shop, Santa Barbara Gift Baskets, and today, I'm going to show you how to wrap with tissue paper. The materials that you'll need are tissue paper, your gift, ribbon, and ribbon scissors. So, I'm going to go ahead and lay my gift upside down and put it about two inches from the edge of the paper. And we'll go ahead and. Obviously, we have enough paper to wrap the entire gift, so I'm going to go ahead and trim it a little bit. I'll bring my first edge over. And then, for this side, I'm going to make a small fold so that it will show a very neat seam. So, I'm going to go ahead and put a couple pieces on the tissue paper, and then, pull it as tight as possible, but keeping in mind that tissue is very gentle and you don't want to rip it. Go ahead and seal that down, and then this side is ready to close, so I'm going to go ahead and push down; crease it. Then, I'm going to bring the two sides into each other, and again, making sure that my folds are nice and creased. And I'm going to take a piece of the double stick tape; put it on the inside, and I'm going to bring that up. Do the same exact thing again on this side. You'll push that down. Bring the sides together. And then, put the tape and bring it up to close. So then, you've got a pretty ivory paper with a little bit of the wine color showing through, and you're ready to go ahead and tie your ribbon around. I use the Merlot color in the ribbon so that it will bring out that underneath color. Go ahead and tie a little bow. And, that's how you wrap a gift in tissue paper.
