"Hi, my name is Tanya Batts. I'm a Personal Trainer at Gold's Gym. I want to show you how to clean a yoga mat. Some people use vinegar and water or really a great thing to so is take two cups of water, like four little drops of dish washing liquid; a teaspoon of baking soda; kind of shake it up and then start to spray your mat. So you just want to take your, the spray; spray it down. You want to rub it down really good. You really don't want to soak the mat; just nice and easy. You really want to do this maybe once a week and if it's not your own; if you come into the gym and grab a mat, you just want to make sure you do it before you even get on it. But even after you clean it with the solution; you want to rinse it with water. So you really want to rub it down pretty good to get it nice and clean and even then, you maybe want to take a soft cloth and rub it down once more. And a great idea is to take that mat; hang it over the rail and let it air dry. So it's really important to have a nice clean mat because if you come in to a gym and use the mats that are here; not so good. You have a chance of being like the Plantar warts on the feet; not a good thing. You really want to make an investment in your mat. Get a nice thick mat; maybe one, maybe two; but it's a great investment for you to really go out and buy your own mat. But this is just a few ways of how you can really clean the mats."
