So you're going to go on a ride today, but you can't go with your machine looking dull. Do today we're going to talk about how to clean your motorcycle, how to polish the chrome, how to polish the paint. Hey, I'm Steve Greenstein from Jim's Harley Davidson in St. Pete. Today we're going to talk about how to clean your motorcycle. I've picked a few products here, and we'll go over those. But, normally, the first thing you want to do is you really want to start with your motorcycle clean. So you want to wash it. You want to use a good soap. There's different products. You want to make sure that they don't affect your paint, so you want to read the instructions. Most importantly, be the man, read the instructions. Right? Once it's clean, you want to dry it off. You know what works real good? A leaf blower. Bur-r-r-r. Clean it off. Even some vacuums have reverse where you can blow, just make sure you're not blowing the dust back on it. At that point you want to pick a good product to clean your bike, or polish it with. Some of the stuff they use on cars, great waxes, great polishes. Again, read the directions on what it does to chrome and to paint. Some model motorcycles have specific instructions about their paint, so you really want to make sure that whatever product you use is comparable to your paint. So here we got...this one is a detailer. It's just a spray wax. Wipe on, wipe off. Works real good. But this works after your bikes been good and cleaned. So normally what you want to do is once you get it good and clean, is you want to use a good wax and get a good base coat on your bike. And then just have fun. Do it in the shade. So pick a nice day, garage, under a tree. Get all your stuff out and go at it. Have a great time, 'cause the more time you put in it, the better your bike's going to look going down the road. This is Steve Greenstein from Jim's Harley Davidson. Have a great day.
