In this video clip, I will be talking about applying the third and final coat of mud. Once your second coat has fully dried, you should notice how it is becoming smoother in transitioning from one piece of drywall to the other piece of drywall. Once it is dried, we are going to need to go ahead and sand this lightly. A little bit lighter than before, because we don’t want to take off the mud that we just put on. The screw holes here typically only require 2 coats of mud. However, this one here I can still see a little dimple, so I am going to go ahead and put a third coat of mud on that as well.
