"So now that we have our beef ready to go, it is time to make our filling. The first thing we need to do for that is to go ahead and toast our pine nuts. These pine nuts are really actually pretty expensive, they are about $16 a pound so you want to make sure whenever you put them in the oven or on the pan that you keep a close eye on them so that they don't burn. So we are just going to put them in a cookie pan like to and spread them out into one even layer. I'm going to place them into a 350 degree oven and we are going to cook them for about 5-7 minutes until you start to smell them. You want them to a nice light brown color. Make sure you don't over cook them. Another way to cook these is to do them on the stove. All you have to do is put them in a saute pan and cook them over medium high heat until they turn to a nice brown color. The key is to remove them as soon as they are ready cause they would continue cooking in the pan even if you turn them off the heat. "
