Making a USB memory stick bootable is the best way to boot your computer in case of a crash. Make a bootable memory stick with instruction from an IT entrepreneur in this free video on computer accessories.
Hi, my name is Chris Noble. I'm an independent IT consultant. My website is www.doglikehorse.com. This is a short video on how to make a USB memory stick bootable. Most computers used to come with a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive, where you could boot from and set up Windows or whatever operating system you chose to put on the computer. Now, that's no longer the case. The best way to boot your computer in the event of a crash is to use a USB memory stick. These memory sticks are simply plugged into the computer, and gives the computer the opportunity to load from a CD or operating system of your choice. In order to make the USB memory stick bootable, you'll need to use some free software from the Internet. The free software we're going to use today is a tool from Hewlett-Packard, which can be downloaded for free from the Internet. Once you have the software on the computer, it's a simple case of plugging in a blank USB memory stick, or one that you don't mind losing the data on, and running through the software and following the instructions. My name is Chris Noble. Thanks for watching this video on how to make a USB memory stick bootable.
