The junior carpenter tool set has everything a young, inquisitive person needs to get started on woodworking projects. The carpentry related tools come in a sturdy wood box with a strong metal carrying handle. The box opens its three-piece hinged doors to reveal a full set of tools scaled down in size and weight for smaller hands. These tools are perfect for young people, allowing them to work alongside of adults to help around the house or to work on their own wood projects.

Hammer

The set includes a claw hammer to hammer nails and pull them from wood when a mistake is made. The hammer is lightweight to allow for an easy full swing without the use of additional unsafe effort.

Saw

The saw has a handle conformed to smaller hands and can cut through most woods. Its teeth are smaller in height adding to the safety of the saw.

Mallet with Chisel

The mallet consists of a wooden handle with an all-wood head. The mallet works well with the metal chisel, allowing young carpenters to hollow out sections of wood for proper fit in construction, or to add rough decorative touches to their finished project.

Bradawl

The bradawl consists of a handle with a thin piece of metal ending in a sharp point. The bradawl is used to imprint the wood with a small pilot hole so a screw or nail will land firmly where you want it. Using the bradawl before nailing or screwing also helps prevent the wood from splitting.

Screwdrivers

The set comes with a Phillips head screwdriver for Phillips head screw styles and a flat head screwdriver for straight slotted screws.

Pliers

The all-metal pliers are in the flat nose style. They can be used to pull material from the wood or handle sharp or broken objects. They’re perfect for holding nails in place while practicing hammering.

Set Square and Ruler

The set square consists of two pieces of wood set at an angle of 90 degrees. Both the set square and ruler have measurement markings along their wooden faces. The set square is helpful in determining if a project is plumb and ready for securing.

Plane and Sandpaper

The all-metal plane has a solid construction but is scaled down for smaller hands. It takes the top layers off wood to even out the working material or reduce its mass. Various sheets of sandpaper with different grits come with the set. These are used to smooth the final work surface.

Clamp and Spanners

The clamp secures pieces of wood before screwing or nailing them together. The spanners are used as shims. They help to position pieces of wood or fill gaps and spaces.

Wrenches and Allen Keys

The set comes with a variety of box end wrenches and Allen keys. They are used to tighten or loosen nuts, bolts, and hex head or Allen key bolts.
