While after-sex cuddling or snuggling up when falling asleep are nice, making time to cuddle outside of the bedroom is a great way for couples to feel intimate and connected with each other on a daily basis. It is also a good way to open the lines of communication with a partner and build feelings of trust in the relationship. Making time to cuddle and connect daily is not as hard or time-consuming as it might seem, and can easily be incorporated into everyday activities.

Lay with your back against your partner's stomach while he wraps his arms around you and nuzzles his head close to your neck or face. Many couples use this position when falling asleep at night, but this cuddle position is also great when laying on a couch or floor and can turn movie night at home into a more intimate activity for both of you. Try holding hands or playing with each other's feet to make this a more playful, lighthearted moment.

Shoulder or Chest

Laying your head on your partner's chest or shoulder while talking about your day can be a relaxing way to open lines of communication and feel like you're being listened to. Quietly laying your head on his chest and listening to his heartbeat can also be relaxing and comforting after a hard day. Whether you're cuddled up on the sofa with your head on his chest or curled up on his shoulder reading a magazine in bed, this cuddle position is a great way to relax and feel bonded with your partner.

Face to Face

Over time in relationships, it's easy to lose feelings of closeness and intimacy with your partner. Money, bills, work and family have a way of working their way to the top of the priority list, while quality time with your partner diminishes. Take time out regularly to reconnect by turning off cell phones and other distractions and then cuddling up face to face for some intimate alone time. Try to maintain eye contact while talking about the things you love about your partner. Gentle touching, such as running your fingers through each other's hair, can add to the intimacy of the moment.

Tummy Time

Laying your head on your partner's lap or tummy while discussing daily events or making plans for the weekend can add an intimate touch to everyday conversations and activities. Turn on your favourite movie or spend a lazy day at the park together watching the clouds while using his lap or tummy as a pillow. While your partner has her head on your lap, use your hands to play with her hair or stroke her face while talking about your day at work. Making time for moments of intimate touching, even during everyday conversations, can bring a spark back to a fizzling relationship.
