Buying a gift for 15-year-old girl can be difficult whether you know her well or not. Electronic gifts are a good choice because most teenagers like getting new gadgets. Armed with a list of popular gadget gifts for teenage girls, you should be able to find a gift without a problem.

If the 15-year-old doesn't have a telephone, you can purchase either a new landline phone or a cellphone. If you choose a landline phone make sure she has a phone hookup in her room. Cordless phones are great, but you can also get a decorative phone such as a phone that is shaped like lips. If you opt for a cellphone, ask her parents first. Children can usually be added to an existing cellphone service for a nominal fee, but if you are worried about minutes or don't have a plan to add her to you can give her a prepaid cellphone.

MP3 Player

Most teens like listening to music, which is why an MP3 player is a possible gift for a girl who doesn't have one. Get a player with enough memory for a lot of music. The more memory the player has, the better. If the teen girl you are buying for already has a player you could buy her accessories for it such as ear buds or a docking station.

A camera is an ideal choice for the girl who doesn't have one. Digital cameras are fun for teens because they allow you to upload pictures directly to your computer. Instant cameras such as a Polaroid are also fun because you get a physical copy of the picture immediately. Most digital cameras will allow the girl to capture short video clips as well as still photos.

Electronic Reader

If the teen you are buying for likes to read an electronic reader is a good gift for her. Electronic readers allow her to get books and periodicals all on one hand-held device. It may be useful for school as well, because students can get some textbooks and many of the novels that are required reading on their electronic reader. Not only are electronic books less costly than their physical counterparts, but they are much less for a busy teen on the go to carry.
