Anniversary dinners are made special by choosing delicious foods that are out of the ordinary. To make a simple but romantic anniversary dinner, choose a finer meat which is reserved for special occasions. Perfect the anniversary dinner with wine, new dinner plates or a beautiful anniversary dessert.

Salmon Anniversary Dinner

Cut out two large hearts out of parchment paper. Spray the parchment paper with non-stick cooking spray. Place a salmon fillet on one side of the heart and season with salt and pepper. Top with black beans and julienne strips of zucchini, squash, leeks and mushrooms. Season with salt, pepper, two tablespoons of soy sauce, a slice of butter and white wine. Fold the paper, and crimp the edges together to seal. Bake in the oven at 177 degrees Cor 15 to 20 minutes.

Anniversary Crab Dishes

Dice and sauté a small white onion, a shallot and two cups of mushrooms in ghee over medium heat. Add a tablespoon each of thyme and oregano. Add eight-ounces of cream cheese, one pound of lump crabmeat, three cloves of minced garlic and Parmesan. Reduce the heat and add 1/4 cup of double cream, salt and pepper. Divide into four eight-ounce casserole dishes, top each casserole with filo pastry, and cut off the excess. Brush olive oil, then bake in the oven at 177 degrees Cor 10 minutes.

Fillet Mignon With Mushrooms

Dry the steaks, season with salt and pepper and sear over medium high heat. Bake them in the oven at 177 degrees Cor 10 to 12 minutes. Sauté shallots and mushrooms in a skillet. Season with thyme, salt and pepper. In a separate pot boil two tablespoons of Dijon mustard, three tablespoons of butter and one cup of red wine until thickened. Top the steaks with the shallots and mushrooms, and drizzle with wine sauce. Garnish with parsley.
