How to convert MHT to htm

Updated July 20, 2017

MIME HTML (MHTML) -- typically using the file extensions of "mht" and "mhtml" -- is a file format used to combine a Web page with associated external multimedia resources into a single file. Internet Explorer, Microsoft's Web browser, includes functionality to save an MHT file as a HTML file. This method of conversion is recommended for text-based websites only, primarily because converting an MHT file to a HTML file will not include the multimedia resources present in the MHT file.

Double-click on the MHT file. The file should automatically open in Internet Explorer.

Click on the "File" menu, then click on "Save As." A file save dialogue box should appear.

Change the file type to "Webpage, complete (.htm;.html)," change the file save location to the Windows Desktop, then click on "Save." The HTML file should appear on the Windows Desktop.
