How to Clean an Acer Aspire Netbook Fan

Written by melissa rae | 13/05/2017

The Acer Aspire netbook is designed for maximum portability and ease of use. With everyday use, dirt, dust and lint can clog the netbook's cooling fan and vents. Regular cleaning can prevent your Acer Aspire netbook from overheating, slowing down and damaging internal components. If you notice the fan running more often than usual or the netbook feels hot to the touch, clean the fan and vents to restore normal air flow.

Turn off and unplug the Acer Aspire netbook.

Turn the netbook upside down and blow compressed air into the fan's intake vent to dislodge any loose dirt or dust.

Blow compressed air into the vents on the side of the netbook. Repeat the cleaning process on a regular basis to prevent dirt and dust build-up.

Tip

Use residue-free compressed air to avoid damaging any internal components.
