How to Make Yourself a Chibi

A chibi is a an anime style cartoon character. Chibi's have exaggerated and childlike features, such as big eyes and mouths. In style they are smaller and more cute than other cartoon style characters. You do not have to have any animation skills to make yourself a chibi, however, there are numerous free online programs to assist you. If you make yourself a chibi, you could use it as an avatar for social networking or notice boards, print it out and hang it on your wall, or use it as a background for your desktop.

    Open a free Chibi creator program online. Some include bodies, others just faces, choose one that fits your own style.

    Drag the hair, clothes and facial features onto your Chibi. Select the your Chibi's eye, hair and skin colours.

    Take a screenshot. On many Windows computers, there will be a Print Screen (or "PrtSc") button on the keyboard. On a Mac, you can do this by opening the "Grab" application.

    Open the screenshot file. Use the select tool to draw a box around the chibi. Select "Copy" from the Edit menu.

    Paste your Chibi into whatever location you like. You may paste it into a document for printing, or paste it into your profile for social networking or notice board posting.
