The free animation program Pivot provides a number of stick figures you can use to create animations. Each of these stick figures contains a body full of hinges. By adjusting the appendages of the stick figure, you can move the appendage so that it slides up or down the hinge. If you are unsatisfied with the stick figures offered by the program, create your own stick figure using the character creation tool.
Press the "Start" button, click "All Programs" and click on "Pivot."
Click on the "File" tab and press the "Create Figure Type" button.
Press the "Add Line" button. Click on the end of the line and drag it inward or outward to alter the length of the line. Press the up or down arrow to increase the width of the line.
Connect the line to another line or circle. Press the "Add Line" or "Add Circle" button. Click on the pivot-point at the end and draw a line or circle.
Delete a segment by clicking on it, then pressing the "Delete Segment" button.
Turn a line to a circle by clicking on it then clicking on the "Toggle Segment" button.
Continue adding segments to the figure until you complete it. Click on the "File" menu and scroll to "Save As." Enter a name in the text-field and press "OK."
