Facebook lets you create event pages that function similarly to personal profiles and public pages. You can post status updates, messages, photos, videos and links to other websites. When posting a link to an MP3 file to a Facebook event page, the link turns into an embedded music player. Users can then click the "Play" button to listen to the music without leaving Facebook. The MP3 must already exist somewhere online, and only events to which you have access can accept your shared music link.

Open a Web browser and navigate to the online MP3 file you want to embed into a Facebook event page. The Web address of the file must end in ".mp3."

Click inside the address bar of your browser to highlight the entire Web address. Hold down "Ctrl" and press "C" to copy the address to your computer's clipboard.

Log in to your Facebook account at and click "Events" in the left navigation menu of your Facebook news feed. This displays the events to which you have access.

Click the page title of an event into which you want to embed music. This displays that event's wall.

Click inside the status box at the top of the event wall. Hold down "Ctrl" and press "V" to paste the address into the box, and then click the "Share" button.
