The Opera Web Browser contains its own Torrent client that is used by default when a Torrent file is downloaded. The uTorrent client is widely supported and offers advanced configuration features that are not available in Opera's torrent application. You must disable Opera's torrent feature to re-enable uTorrent on your system.

Open the Start menu and type "opera." Select "Opera" from the list of installed programs.
Copy and paste the following text into opera's address bar, then press "Enter":
Remove the check mark next to "Enable," then click "Save."
Click "Tools," then "Preferences." Next click "Advanced," and "Downloads."
Remove the check mark next to "Hide file types opened with Opera."
Type "torrent" in the "Find" bar, then double-click the line that reads "application/x-bittorrent torrent."
Click "Open with other application" and navigate to your uTorrent installation directory. Double-click the "uTorrent.exe" file to choose it.
Click "OK" to save your changes.
