There is no official way to delete your Blizzard account. Blizzard keeps account, game and character information permanently so that players who return to the game will be able to access their accounts. In extreme circumstances, such as illegal account activity occurring from fraud or domestic disputes, Blizzard may be able to delete your account, assuming you have proper verification of your identity. You can, however, cancel game subscriptions and modify your account status.
Open your browser and navigate to Blizzard.com. This will direct you to the official Blizzard Entertainment website.
Click the tab labelled "Support" at the top of the page This will direct you to the Blizzard Support page.
Click the button labelled "Contact Support" at the bottom of the page. You will be directed to the "battle.net" login page. If you do not have a "battle.net" account, please see the instructions in the "Creating a Battle.net Account" section listed below.
Type in your e-mail address and password. Click on the button labelled "Log In." You will be directed to a "battle.net" website and asked to fill in several fields. The fields are: "Step 1: Select Problem" and "Step 2: Additional Details."
Complete "Step 1" by choosing "I have an issue with my account or with payment/billing" followed by "I want to change something in my Battle.net account (e.g., account name, contact info)."
Complete Step 2 by writing a brief message detailing the fact that you wish to delete your Blizzard account and why. Although it is not Blizzard's policy to delete any account, it may be possible in extreme circumstances.
Click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of your screen.
Open your browser and navigate to Battle.net.
Click on the game you played on your Blizzard account. You will be directed to Battle.net's home page for that particular game.
Click on the tab labelled "Account." You will be directed to a login screen.
Click on the words "Create New Account" displayed beneath the email address and password fields. You will be directed to an account creation page.
Fill in the account creation fields and click on the button labelled "Create Account" at the bottom of the page.
Return to the Battle.net home page, click on the game you played on your Blizzard account and enter your e-mail and password into the login screen's fields. Click on the button labelled "Log In." You will be directed to Battle.net's "Account" page.
Click on "Merge an Account" on the right-hand side of the page. Enter the account name, password and any other fields required to merge the account to Battle.net. You may need to verify the merger via e-mail.
Click on "Account" to return to Battle.net's "Account" page. You will see your account details as well as accounts for the game, or games, that you play.
Click on the game you wish to delete the account for. You will be directed to a page displaying information about your game account.
Click on "Cancel Game Subscription" on the right-hand side of the page.
Click on the bubble next to the reason you wish to cancel your subscription, then click on the button labelled "Yes, please cancel my subscription" at the bottom of the page. Your Blizzard account will not be deleted, but you will no longer incur any subscription fees.
Be clear and concise in your messages when contacting Blizzard support. The more information you give, the better chances you have of actually having your account deleted.
It is not Blizzard's policy to delete any account. Account, game and character data are stored permanently on Blizzard's servers. You can, however, deactivate accounts and subscriptions. In extreme circumstances, Blizzard may be able to delete your account. You will, however, have to show proof of your identity. Be prepared to show a driver's license, birth certificate or other forms of identification. Blizzard has merged with Battle.net. To modify your account or request technical help you will need to create a Battle.net account.
