Besides offering owners standard features such as radio and CD playback, the Toyota Yaris also features support for Apple's iPod MP3 player. Through the car's stereo, you can connect your iPod and use the Yaris' speakers to play back your own music collection. In order to do so, you simply need to have the proper audio connectivity accessories.

Locate the auxiliary audio input jack on the car stereo. This will be a small hole with the label "Aux."

Use the auxiliary cable to connect the car stereo jack and your iPod. Both devices have the same port, so either end of the cable can fit into each device.

Turn on your car and press "Aux" on your car's stereo. This will toggle the sound system's mode to your iPod, allowing for your music to be played through the car's speakers. Additionally, you can control other playback options through the iPod. Through your iPod, you can also control aspects such as volume and track selection. For instance, if you increase the volume of a song on your iPod, it will increase playback volume on the car's speakers.
