The ATI Hotkey Poller service, also known as the ATI external event utility, is a program that monitors the system for key presses and allows users to change the graphic profile of their video settings using a hotkey. This is useful when playing a game or a full-screen application that is optimised using a different settings profile. Many users do not make use of this service and it takes up memory in the system. Disabling the service will free up valuable system resources.
