Cisco and Mitel, phone companies that offer sever and phone options, can be used together as long as they are integrated correctly. You can use multi-line or single-line phones with Mitel, as long as you select the appropriate configuration option. These phones are landline phones and must be connected to a phone jack. If you need to purchase a service plan for your landline telephones, contact your cable or Internet company.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Open the phone server by navigating to the website, located at "http://<NAME>/web/sa." Replace "NAME" with the name of the server.

  2. 2

Click on the "Systems" menu and scroll to "Licensing," then "Licensed Features." Change the "Integration" setting to Analog if you are only using one phone. Change it to "Multiple Integrations" if you are using two or more phones.

  3. 3

Click on the "Systems" tab and select "Switch." Set the manufacturer to "Mitel" and the switch to "Lightware 18." Click "Save."

  4. 4

Connect the Mitel phone to the Cisco server using a phone cable. Connect the Mitel phone to an electrical socket to provide power.

  5. 5

Test the phone system by making a call.
