Venom, one of the villains from the movie Spider-Man 3, as well as the Spider-Man comic book series, can be a fun and easy-to-make costume idea for Halloween. The character, who is spawned from a mysterious alien compound that arrives from space and attaches itself to the body of a host, is a classic Spider-Man villain and a fairly inexpensive costume to make.

Things you need
- Black unitard
- Tight-fitting black shirt and black tights
- Black ski mask
- Black gloves
- Silver fabric paint
Get a black full-body unitard or, if you cannot find a unitard, a tight-fitting black shirt and a pair of black tights. The more tight fitting the clothes are, the better. Also get black gloves and a black ski mask that covers the entire face and neck, with holes for the mouth and eyes.
Print out a picture of the design that is on Venom's chest and the design that will around the eyes and face. Use this picture as a guide to copying the design onto your costume.
Draw the design onto the unitard or shirt using a piece of chalk or something that will not permanently mark the shirt. This will allow you some room for error on your first pass. Once you are happy with the design, go over it again with the silver fabric paint, and then fill it in.
Repeat the same process for the design that will go on the ski mask.
Place both the unitard and the ski mask in a cool place to dry before wearing the costume.
Place the ski mask over your head and put on your black gloves and black unitard with the designs on them, once they have finished completely drying. Top off the costume with a pair of black socks and black shoes to complete the effect.
