JavaLoader.exe is a utility tool designed to offer developers the ability to load and test applications. Prior to wiping a BlackBerry device clean with this tool and removing all of its data, it is critical that you back up any important data because it will be deleted from the device without any means to restore it. JavaLoader.exe allows you to delete the device's applications, files or the entire operating system by using various commands in the Microsoft Windows Command Prompt.

    Place the BlackBerry device in the cradle to connect it to your computer through the USB connection.

    Type "cmd" in the field, and click "OK" to load the Command Prompt.

    Type "cd", and enter the directory where JavaLoader.exe is located. The default location is "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE\bin." Press the "Enter" key to change to its directory.

    Type "javaloader -u wipe" if you want to erase the device's entire operating system. Type "javaloader -u wipe -f" to erase only the device's file system. Type "javaloader -u wipe -a" to erase only the device's applications.
