How to hook a summer baby monitor to a tv

Updated February 21, 2017

A baby monitor lets you watch or listen your child in the crib from another room. Hooking up the receiver of the Summer Slim & Secure Baby Monitor to a TV is a straightforward procedure that does not require any tools or cables. Everything that is needed is included with the monitor kit.

Place the Summer Baby monitor receiver next to a TV. Plug the AC cord of the included power supply into a wall outlet for power. Plug the power cable attached to the power supply into the power port on the receiver.

Plug the mini-jack end of the audio/video cable that is included with the monitor kit into the mini-jack port on the receiver. Insert the yellow plug on the other end of the audio/video cable into a video input on the TV's back or side panel. Insert the red and white RCA plugs at the end of the audio/video cable into the red and white RCA audio inputs on the back or side panel of the TV.

Turn on the TV with its remote. Press the "Menu" button. Select the "Video input" setting. Choose the video input that the cable is plugged into. Press the "Menu" button again. Press the "On" button on the remote to watch your baby on your TV.
