How to Extend a CB Antenna Coax Cable

The CB antenna collects the signal for your radio in your home or vehicle and sends the signal to the radio via a coaxial cable. If you need to extend the cable to reach the CB radio, use a coaxial extender cable. Coaxial extender cables look and act like coaxial cables but feature a female end to connect the existing coaxial cables.

Things you need

  • Coaxial extender cable

  • Coaxial cables

Insert one end of the existing coaxial cable from the CB antenna into the port on the coaxial extender.

Tighten the fastener on the end of the cable to secure the connection.

Attach the other coaxial cable to the free end of the of coaxial extender and fasten the opposite end to the "Ant IN" port on the CB radio.
