How to Reboot a BlackBerry Curve

The BlackBerry Curve is a smartphone manufactured by Research In Motion (RIM). If you have problems with the phone, such as slow performance or an intermittent wireless signal, you might need to reboot it. The Curve gives you two options to reboot the phone. The first requires removing the battery. The second requires a specific keyboard combination. Rebooting a BlackBerry Curve should only take a few minutes.

Remove the battery cover from the back of the Curve. Slide it down with your fingers to remove it.

Remove the battery from the BlackBerry using your fingers.

Wait 10 seconds and install the battery.

Install the battery cover by sliding up with your fingers. The BlackBerry Curve might take several minutes to finish restarting.

Press the "Alt" key on the BlackBerry keyboard and hold it down.

Press the "Right Shift" key and hold it down.

Press the "Backspace/Delete" key while holding down the previous keys.

Release all three keys and the BlackBerry will reboot. The process might take a few minutes to complete.
