The XJS is a luxury vehicle produced by British manufacturer Jaguar from 1975 to 1996. In order to install new headlights on an XJS you will need a socket wrench to remove the retaining bolts and a new headlamp assembly.

Remove the keys from the ignition and raise the hood of the XJS.
Remove the four bolts securing the bumper cover using a socket wrench. Remove the cover. Remove the two bolts securing the old assembly into the engine compartment with a socket wrench.
Unplug the electrical cable at the rear of the assembly. Pull the assembly out of the vehicle.
Install the new assembly into the engine compartment, making sure it fits snugly and does not wiggle around. Reattach the electrical cable.
Reinstall the two bolts securing the assembly. Reattach the bumper cover and reinstall the four bolts. Close the bonnet.
