The Logitech Z-560 is a speaker system released in 2001 with THX certification. The system consists of one subwoofer and four satellite speakers. The subwoofer outputs 188 watts of power and the satellites output a combined 212 watts. The large subwoofer has an 8-inch diameter and produces the deep bass sounds for the speaker system. If you want to tinker with or remove a part from inside the Z-560 subwoofer, you will first need to open the subwoofer.

- Phillips head screwdriver
Unplug the subwoofer and turn it around so the back side is facing you. Remove any cords plugged into the back of the subwoofer that lead to the satellites.
Unscrew the screws around the back edge of the subwoofer with the Phillips head screwdriver. Place the screws in a bag or container for safekeeping.
Push gently on the inner portion of the subwoofer near the output ports until the subwoofer components move away from the outer case, giving you access to the inside of the subwoofer.
