Sesame seeds can add a punch of flavour to many of your favourite dishes. They need to be toasted just right to provide the perfect seasoning and bring out a full, nutty flavour. Purchase raw sesame seeds. These can be found at almost any market but especially at Asian markets. A large jar costs just a few dollars.
Pre-heat your oven to 176 degrees Carenheit.
Place your seeds in a thin layer on a baking pan.
Place the pan in your preheated oven. Be sure to watch them as the process will take not take long and you do not want to over-toast them. They can go from done to burnt in a matter of seconds.
Take the sesame seeds out of the oven when they become fragrant and golden. This is usually after about 10 minutes, but can be as soon as five or as long as fifteen. Allow them to cool.
