If you are unhappy with the brightness and quality of your Bentley Arnage headlights, you can convert them yourself to higher wattage High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlight bulbs. HID headlight bulbs emit more light and last longer than halogen headlights, and some HID headlights are even brighter than other HID headlights. Fortunately, converting your Bentley Arnage's HID headlights is simple and straightforward.

  1. 1

Set your headlight switch to the off position. Turn off your Bentley Arnage. Prop open the hood with the hood support rod.

  2. 2

Disconnect the headlight wiring harness from the rear of the ballast that is mounted to the back of the headlight assembly.

  3. 3

Unplug the ballast from the back of the HID headlight that resides inside the Arnage's headlight assembly. Pull off the ballast -- attached only by a double-sided adhesive pad -- from the back of the headlight assembly. Pull off the double-sided adhesive tape from the assembly as well.

  4. 4

Line up the tabs on the base of the HID headlight with the slots on the rear of the headlight assembly and pull the HID headlight out of the assembly.

  5. 5

Insert the replacement HID headlight in the assembly in the same manner the previous headlight was set in.

  6. 6

Plug in the ballast to the new HID headlight to the headlight wiring harness from the Arnage. Plug the ballast into the rear of the HID headlight. Mount the ballast with the double-sided adhesive tape provided in the HID headlight installation kit.
