Instructions

  1. 1

Insert the installation disc that accompanies the Vestax VCI-300. Complete the onscreen instructions to set up the controller. Serato Itch will also be installed but you can ignore this and continue using Traktor Scratch Pro. Connect the controller when prompted by the installer. Connect speakers and headphones to your Vestax-300.

  2. 2

Click "Start," type "Traktor" and click the program link. Click "File," then "Preferences." Click "Setup Wizard." Click "External Mixer." Click "OK." The "Audio Setup" appears.

  3. 3

Click the "Audio Device" drop-down and select the "Vestax VCI-300."

  4. 4

Click "Output Routing." Click "External." Choose the channel outputs for depending on how you want your speaker and headphone configuration to run.

  5. 5

Click "MIDI Setup." Double-click the "Active" column for your controller. Click "Add." Select a function. Click "Learn." Press the button on your Vestax VCI-300 that corresponds with that action. Click "Learn" again. Repeat this for your entire set-up. This is a lengthy process and will likely require trial and error to complete.

  6. 6

    Click "Close."
