How to Restore a PC904HD System

Updated July 20, 2017

The Asus EEE PC 904 HD is a netbook computer that, like any computer, is vulnerable to errors, crashes and malware infections. Asus includes a built-in factory partition that allows you to restore the system to the original settings without the need for an additional software disc or technical repair service.

Restart the computer

Press the "F9" key once the computer starts to access the recovery tools.

Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the "Restore Factory Settings" icon and press "Enter." Type "yes" to confirm that you want to restore the system. The utility will reformat the hard drive and restore the original factory settings for the computer.

Press "Enter" once the reformat is completed to restart the computer with the factory settings installed.

Reformatting the computer will erase any files and data you might have. Always back up important data before restoring your system.
