Most Acer computers are pre-installed with a utility called "Acer eDataSecurity Management." This program encrypts files on your computer so that they remain secure. Encryption is important if you want to transfer files via e-mail or instant messaging. If your Acer eDataSecurity Management utility has stopped working or was uninstalled at some point, you can reinstall it for free. However, you cannot install this utility in a computer that did not originally have this program.
