  1. 1

Reset the network settings on your cell phone. You may have changed a setting that negatively affected your speed.

  2. 2

Replace your SIM card. If your SIM card is not a 3G SIM, it could prevent you from getting high connection speeds. Even if your SIM card is 3G, it could still be burnt out.

  3. 3

Clean away any dust and debris that may have got lodged in between the SIM card and the SIM card holder.

  4. 4

Connect the phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sometimes a computer can give a 3G cell phone a signal boost.

  5. 5

Buy an antenna. You can get a clip antenna that just clips to your desk or a powerful one that can be mounted outside.

  6. 6

Charge your battery. A weak signal is sometimes due to a low battery.

  7. 7

Buy a signal booster. These can be pricey, but if you don't mind spending the money, they could boost a weak signal.
