How to reprogram a chrysler key fob

Updated February 21, 2017

Key fob systems can be programmed to a variety of cars around the world, and most Chrysler vehicles are no different. Not only can you program your own remotes for these keyless entry systems, but you can also reprogram the remotes as well with a few simple steps. This can be useful if you lose a remote, wish to change the frequency, need to reprogram a remote that has lost the signal or need to add an extra remote.

Enter your car with a working remote and press the "Lock" button on that remote five times in 10 seconds.

Put your key into the ignition and turn in to the "Run" position. Leave it there until the cars chimes stop.

Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the remote, and then hold the "Panic" button at the same time.

Release both buttons simultaneously and wait for the doors to lock.

Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons for one second and release, and then press and hold the unlock button by itself until the doors lock. The programming will be completed and your remote synced and ready.
